Seems a lot of the inmates escaped to post online... (grin)... especially where a San Antonio poster claims to know the height of all the trees in Texas (grin)....

An agreement after being threatened by a half-million dollar suit....
just who are the terrorists in this story again?????? It seems TransCanada was doing the terrorizing..... not the landowner or the others...

Funny how the so-called conservatives wanted to impeach a supreme court justice over the same thing....and now seem to be chanting "take it" "take it" "take it all" to a foreign company...

There are definitely two sides to the XL thing. Unfortunately, BigOil and BigBusiness and BigPolitics typically win. Personally, I'm still not convinced that the XL is good for the country. It does seem to be good for BigOil, but it we are on a slippery slope when we begin to believe that "what is good for BigOil is good for the country." This was a mantra of GM at one time and look how it got out of hand.

Companies should not be allowed to take people's land by eminant domain. If a landowner does not want to sell they should not have to.

Consider the source.
First, I am trying to think of a single place in Texas where the trees hit even 50 feet. Maybe 60 but to hit 100 plus?
NPR is stretching the truth big time.

My question is if this guy didn't want the pipeline, is there any chance that a neighbor might've been less resistent and they could've just gone around the guy.
