Doing fine here although the weather has definitely gotten a lot cooler...thanks to Sandy...assume you are monitoring your back yard as well???? Take care and stay safe. And stay off the "A" train if at all possible.....might want to avoid the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel as well.

Your 30 day rank is: 1 as of March 22 11:30 (If only briefly, it's nice to be #1 at something)

yes I can see the lighthouse. that thing is dwarfed by the immense bridge

by yankiefrankie  Mar 17, 2012

Was wondering about view since the NY side would almost require being on top of an apartment roof...also assume taken from south side of bridge, believe you can see the (4) Washbridge Apartment Towers that straddle the cross Bronx connector..a real mess while they were building them and equally said when a "middle income" project became a low income project. Actually lived at 176th st between Fort Washington and Haven Ave and could walk to the corner to get the NY view from the south side. Can you see the "little Red Lighthouse" if you zoom in.

Right in your old backyard...took that from the Fort Lee side though

GW Bridge????? now that's really from the old neighborhood...lol

by yankiefrankie  Feb 27, 2012

Well when I attended Music & Art they were (2) separate schools.......subsequently merged must have been the artsy thing to do???? Used ride my bike throughout Washington Heights in those days...not sure if you could do that now that neighborhood is not what it was back then but then what is????

by yankiefrankie  Feb 26, 2012

2003 GMC Sierra 2500 HD 4X4 and 2006 Ford Freestar Van...had to part company with my tried and true 1992 Dodge D-250 Cumins Turbo at 334,500 +.........another transmission would have been ill advised at that point in time.....

by yankiefrankie  Feb 26, 2012

If you check my photo albums under the old neighborhood you'll see a very dated picture of PS 169, located at 169th St & Audubon Ave in NYC....Then PS 155 Jr Hi located between 177th & 178th between Audubon & St Nicholas Ave. HS Music & Art at 135th St Convent Ave..now merged with HS of Performing Arts. So roots began in the Big Apple, then Albany NY, Dallas Texas and now the Peachtree Peanut State of Georgia. But must admit I do miss Jones Beach........

Which part of the Big Apple do you call home.??
