The rate last year was about $0.21 and this month they lowered it to $0.175 that is pretty significant for us. Maybe that is to get us using more?
Some of the dragsters and big displacement aircraft engines use superchargers that can eat up hundreds of horsepower. Turbos can if not set up correctly restrict the exhaust flow some but there is more horsepower gained than when supercharged. the Pratt&Whitney R3350 piston aircraft engine was turbo compounded. It was turbo charged and the extra exhaust energy was harnessed by another turbine and fed back into the crankshaft via a torque converter. It developed 3300 hp . One of the first engines to develop horsepower/cubic inch. An old friend of mine,
now long gone, was a flight engineer, back when they had crews of 3 on a Constellation. Went to our chiropractor today found they had put in a 16 panel array but did not know much detail about their system. But it is spreading.....
